Position Overview

Shop based mechanic who will assist 23XI in the assembly and preparation of race cars.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble race cars
    • Engine, front and rear suspension, oil system, fuel system, brake system, driveline, interior, etc.
  • Installs various parts on the race car
  • Travel with the road crew and support weekend racetrack mechanic duties as needed (approx. 3-5 events)
  • Participate in at track tests as needed (approx. 1-2 events)
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 4+ years of experience as a mechanic in the NASCAR Truck, Xfinity, or Cup series
  • Experience using hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, Jacks, screw drivers, saws, drills, etc)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical components and car systems
  • Ability to assess and react to situations in a fast-paced stressful environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Skills to work independently, and operate well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to identify and propose solutions to complex issues
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to drive execution and results
