RFK is seeking a skilled Race Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, detail-oriented engineer with experience in motorsports data systems, setup tools, and race operations. This role is a critical link between shop preparation and at-track performance, providing the technical backbone that enables the race engineering group to make fast, data-driven decisions

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide support in execution of rig testing and DIL simulator events.
• Assist race teams with pre-event work and R&D projects.
• Work with race teams and simulation groups to maximize simulation returns.
• Help to validate data acquisition systems to ensure accuracy and reliability prior to track tests.
• Process, organize, and distribute vehicle data to engineering staff during and after sessions.
• Assist with simulation correlation by comparing modeled data with on-track performance.
• Contribute to post-event reports, performance summaries, and trend tracking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or related technical field).
• 2–5 years of experience in professional motorsports or high-performance automotive engineering.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, data acquisition systems, and race car setup principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (Pi Toolbox, MoTeC, Atlas, MATLAB, or similar).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to technical detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
• Willingness to travel as needed for race and test events.
• Experience in NASCAR or other professional racing series.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (OptimumG, ChassisSim, or in-house software).
• Programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
• Working knowledge of NASCAR competition regulations.
