FINISH FAB TECH

Concord, NC, USA Full Time

An integral part of our fabrication team, responsible for building and installing the finish work of the race car; including roof rails, window bracing, shark fins, deck fins. This position is responsible for assembly, install and repair of precision finish fabrication parts of the race car in accordance with the NASCAR specifications using hand tools, power tools and other machines to shape, form, cut and join established parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the fabrication and installation of specific component parts to the race car including roof rails, window bracing, shark fins, deck fins, mounting rain gear when necessary.
  • Making sure the race cars are prepared according to established procedures and desires for each event.
  • Ensures quality product is completed accurately and delivered timely to other departments in accordance with the production schedule; ability to adapt to tight deadlines efficiently. Presents any obstacles that will delay the production schedule to the Group Leader immediately.
  • Making the necessary adjustments to assigned components to meet design specifications and achieve desired results.
  • Safely operating equipment according to recommended safety specifications, including use of all protective equipment necessary (protective eyewear, earplugs, etc) while identifying any safety hazards and reporting all risks immediately to a supervisor.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Provide assistance to other team members on other duties as appropriate.
  • Other duties & special projects will be added as assigned
    Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of work-related experience preferred,
  • High school diploma or equivalent and basic reading and advanced mechanical skills necessary.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools and equipment such as Grinders, Drills, Saws, etc.

  • Accuracy – Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Detail Oriented – Pays attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Communication, Written and Oral – Ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and managers all having varying degrees of education and background.
  • Reliability – Demonstrates being dependable and trustworthy.
  • Troubleshooting – Determining the causes of operating errors and deciding the action to take.
  • Must maintain a high level of quality and ability to conform to the wants/needs of the race team target settings
