Primarily responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional facility by completing a variety of tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks, troubleshoot, and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues that arise
  • Perform general maintenance and routine preventive maintenance services on all building interior/exterior (handyman services)
  • Electrical repairs & modifications, minor drywall & paint repairs, minor plumbing repairs
  • Other service requests such as, but not limited to, hanging wall items, assembling or moving furniture, appliance maintenance and repairs.
  • Checking and responding to security and safety issues
  • Assist in moving office furniture and restocking office material as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls.
  • Maintain exterior grounds: Parking lot clean up, exterior window cleaning, debris removal, etc.
  • Operate equipment, forklift, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, pressure washer, commercial lifts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • At least 2 years of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience required.
  • Candidate must have a strong electrical background and should possess the ability to move outlets, rewire fixtures, hard-wire heavy equipment, and be comfortable pulling high and low voltage wire.
  • Knowledge of: Common methods, practices, and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities; various tools used in building maintenance and repair work.
  • Ability to: Do a variety of maintenance and repair tasks; follow directions; prepare reports of work done; read and write at a level appropriate to the classification.
  • Must have your own basic tools. Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting.
