Richard Childress Racing Manufacturing Solutions is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who takes pride in producing world-class precision components. What You’ll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while working in a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
  • Produce precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and exceptional quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting when needed.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area following 5S and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and fellow machinists to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Support AS9100 quality standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled machinist who enjoys precision work, values quality, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (technical school or machining certification preferred)
  • 7+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
  • Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming concepts
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to producing quality work with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Okuma CNC machines and OSP controls
  • Multi-axis machining experience
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, motorsports, or other precision manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems
  • Experience with first article inspections, process travelers, and manufacturing documentation
