Front End Mechanic - 28 Car

General Summary:

• RSS Racing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented front end mechanic who will be responsible for installing and removing all front suspension and brake components on the racecar.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with car assembly, hanging front suspension, post race teardown and routine maintenance of suspension components
• Collaborate with crew chief and shop foreman to ensure optimal vehicle preparation
• Maintain shop standards, organization, and workflow efficiency
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and safety standards

Work Experience and Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of stock car race mechanic experience
  
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
  
• Detail oriented
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Setup plate experience preferred
  
• Fabrication and welding experience a plus
  
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced
• Willing to travel to all NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race and test events
  

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Frequent bending, squatting, working on knees, standing on concrete for long periods, as well as getting up and down. Able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination. Able to stay calm and focused in stressful situations while balancing tight deadlines. The work environment includes sparks, dust, noise, welding equipment, cutting tools, and power tools.
