Cup Body Production Mechanic

Job Description

This position is responsible for the proper assembly and adjustment of NASCAR Cup Series outer body and underwing panels on race vehicles. This role demands precision, attention to detail and an understanding of materials and fabrication techniques used in NASCAR’s top tier series.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accuracy and completion of all checklists necessary and for maintaining build specs and proper parts inventory.
  • Necessary to stay up-to-date on all NASCAR rule updates and Front Row Motorsports build specifications.
  • Works with other team members to install bodies to desired settings in a timely manner
  • Working with current Supervisor to consistently seek opportunities to improve the production process within the department through development of and/or revising existing processes.
  • Anticipates changes in strategy and plans accordingly, to include timely communication to those impacted.
  • Verifying race cars meet the specifications provided by NASCAR throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Must safely operate machinery and/or equipment according to recommended safety specifications, including use of all necessary protective equipment, while identifying any safety hazards and reporting all risks immediately to a supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
  • Provide assistance to team members on other duties as appropriate.
  • Other duties & special projects will be added as assigned

Preferred Qualification’s

  • Basic computer skills preferred to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience using digital measuring devices such as a Faro/Romer arm and optical scanning software is preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of all mechanical components and structural framework of race cars required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all NASCAR specifications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
