Camera Operator (Contractor)

Racing America is seeking experienced camera operators and production staff primarily in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions of the United States.

These contract positions are offered for events across the country. Event coverage may be single camera events with remote support from our Customer Care and Tech teams, or larger multi-cam shoots with on-site support from our Tech team and remote support from our Customer Care team. Specific duties may vary based on the event and would be disclosed before being booked for an event.

Duties may include:

• Up to 10 hours of work per contracted day
  
• Lifting, carrying, and/or moving gear from one location to another
  
• Assisting with setup and teardown for an event as assigned.
  
• Assisting with laying power and other cable runs from camera position to production trailer (or other locations)
  
• Assisting other crew members with duties as assigned by Racing America staff
• Setting up and tearing down your camera position.
• Operating a camera for long periods of time at an assigned position
• Using Google Chat and radios for communications at events

Preferred attributes:

• How to operate broadcast cameras from multiple manufacturers
• Team-first attitude
• Not afraid to ask a question if you don't know how to do something
