Communications Manager/PR Representative

Job Description: This individual will represent the team and drivers throughout the race season. The person will manage the drivers, team, and sponsorship initiatives for ThorSport Racing. In addition to hosting partner guests, scheduling appearances and making sure all content areas are covered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team -

• POC for the team with appearances, shoots, and events.
• Manage all aspects of the teams social media channels.
• Work with the graphics department to manage the team website.
• Manage in-truck camera when applicable.
• POC for drivers and team at the race track.
• Submit weekly race advance for the organization.
• Write press release in coordination with team partners.
• Report in-race feedback to media / producers.
• Coordinate / facilitate crew chief interviews.
• Weekly, check over paint schemes.
• Weekly, work with the transporter drivers to make sure the transporter is re-stocked with the necessities for each race weekend.
• Weekly, check the Racing Electronic scanners to make sure they are working properly.

Driver -

• Manage driver’s calendar.
• Send weekly driver schedule at the beginning of each race week.
• Weekly, work with transporter drivers to ensure correct firesuit is inside the driver’s locker.
• Manage driver fan mail requests.

Partner -

• Gather partner credentials to send to internal team member for processing.
• Pitch partner initiatives when applicable.
• Send weekly guest guide to partner guests.
• Work with partner on hospitality requests when needed.
• Schedule partners meet and greets when requested.
• Identify content needs.
• Manage autograph card quantity requests for designated paint scheme.
