Social Media Content Creator

Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR operation, is currently seeking a Social Media Content Creator who has a positive attitude, is skilled in content capture, and has a passion for creativity and delivering best-in-class results.

The Social Media Content Creator will join an established team of (1) Production Manager, (1) Sr. Video Producer, (1) Social Media Content Creator and report to the Creative Services Director. They will be responsible for delivering effective, aesthetically pleasing, engaging, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for social media, video, website, email promotional, and other creative needs across the company.

The position requires professional-level photography and videography skills; creative vision; strong comprehension of storytelling; the ability to adhere to brand guidelines; impeccable interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders; and a strong understanding of the existing and evolving digital media landscape.

The candidate must be detail-oriented and have up-to-date knowledge on social media best practices, emerging platforms, technology, and trends. The candidate must also have a professional portfolio to showcase photography, videography and other related work samples.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, edit and develop engaging photo and video content for the team’s social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to further develop brand awareness and secure high quality visual imagery
  • Partner with Content Manager and Social Media Reps for race weekend content, production and distribution
  • Monitor trends across platforms and brainstorm content, especially for partner activations, tentpole events and major moments
  • Self-edit work for adherence to brand guidelines, style and digital content practices
  • Assist in community management of social media channels and larger-scale video productions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, photography, digital media, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in social media, content creation or related field
  • A passion for social media and content creation
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to pitch and explain ideas
  • Experience with Photoshop, Premiere, and the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly vertical video production, graphic template manipulation and photo editing
  • Strong conceptual and technical skills in photography, videography and storytelling
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment on tight deadlines
  • Track record of fostering positive relationships among peers, managers and organizational partners
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to travel regularly and work a fluctuating, flexible schedule; weekend work through the NASCAR season is required with this position; a hybrid work schedule with some work-from-home flexibility is available during the season
  • Experience working in a professional sports, events or entertainment environment preferred
