Late Model Mechanic

Rackley WAR is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanic to support its growing Late Model racing operations.

This role is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and performance of race vehicles in both the shop and at the track. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven racing environment.

Our late models race to win at premier short tracks all over the country, and the cars you build will be the reason we do. You'll have real responsibility from day one; your work will show up in the results every weekend, and you'll do it inside a professional NASCAR organization with the people, equipment, and resources to compete at the highest level of short track racing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assemble, service, and maintain our super late models between events.
• Complete pre-race and post-race teardowns, inspections, and repairs.
• Set the cars up to the setup sheet: scaling, ride heights, alignment, and shock changes.
• Travel with the team and serve as a crew member at the track.
• Maintain the hauler, pit equipment, and race shop.
• Work directly with the crew chief, engineers, and fabricators.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience wrenching in late models or other short track racing preferred. Strong mechanics with the drive to learn the late model side will be considered.
• Solid mechanical fundamentals: chassis, brakes, drivetrain, and general race car assembly
• Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency during race weeks
• Self-motivated, able to work through a job list without supervision
• Able to travel to races across the country, including weekends
• Valid driver's license. CDL is a plus
• Fabrication and welding skills are a plus

TRAVEL DEMANDS:

• Travel to race events and/or extended hours will be required at times.
• To start, the position will require at least 25 weekends of travel, with an opportunity to expand.
• Air travel, hotel accommodations, and per diem are the responsibility of Rackley WAR.
