Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for Managing the social content strategy in support of brand elevation, partner fulfillment, and merchandise sales. The scope of the role includes but is not limited to creating original text, images, video editing, original content creation for both Trackhouse and team Partners, managing posts and responding to followers. This role will manage the Trackhouse brand digitally and socially in a cohesive way to help achieve our sales, marketing, and partnership goals. The expectation for this role is to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, video editing skills and a solid understanding of maximizing engagements while growing the follower base for the Trackhouse brand.
Duties, Expectations and Responsibilities
- Manage content strategy and direction in support of brand elevation, partner fulfillment, and merchandise for social deployment
- Partner with production lead on evolving and pushing our content innovation approach, both at and away from track
- Schedule social posting plans weekly
- Work with production lead and department director to schedule weekly staffing for races, and in and around the shop weekly
- Support analysis and interpretation of social and digital data with the intent of working smarter to elevate engagement and growth
- Work with director to identify and operationalize new social or digital revenue streams
- Pinpoint opportunities to lift the Trackhouse voice in fan engagement socially and consistently
- Share responsibility as primary point person for all Trackhouse Racing social media platforms
- Strategize mid-week content.
- Plan, shoot, and edit weekend competition content, as well as travel to and from race events.
- Generate, edit, publish, moderate and share daily content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Work with production team to create meaningful content that meets partner goals including brand awareness, product sales, and an authentic association Trackhouse/motorsports
- Ideation of copy.
- Replying to and engaging with the industry or any relevant sponsor posts.
- Manage keywords and search engine optimization, track statistics, and analytics.
- Assist with managing online social media messaging and conversations.
- Stay knowledgeable about industry developments and trends including design methods, software, and applicable rules and regulations.
- Monitor, capture and share interactivity regularly.
- Carry out assignments and meet deadlines.
- Energize Trackhouse’s social media presence as part of a team.
- Participate in ideas for design and graphics for social media and websites.
- Assist in maintaining a library of search terms (keywords) and related analysis for search engine optimization and targeted advertising.
- Re-prioritize projects as things change constantly.
- Communicate often via email proficiently.
- Maintain organization, professionalism, and patience under pressure.
- Provide assistance to other team members on other duties as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of professional social media experience with a marketing, communications, or creative design background. Experience with a professional sports organization is a plus.
- Video shooting and editing experience
- Strong language and communication skills, including proofing and editing. Self-starter with ability to monitor, organize, and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to provide an opinion and explanation, receive critique, coordinate messaging, and create design balancing multiple dynamics.
- Experience in copywriting and proofreading in a related field but not essential.
- Experience creating content for social/websites /blogs.
- Knowledge of relevant industry/marketing websites for fact checking
- Excellent computer skills including PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Email
- Established organizational and problem-solving skills required.
