SHOCK TECHNICIAN & SALES
You don't need to know how to build a shock — we'll teach you that.
WAR Shocks & Suspension is the shock and suspension arm of Rackley W.A.R., a race operation that fields a NASCAR Truck Series team and a late model driver-development program. We build, valve, and service racing shocks for dirt and asphalt late model teams, and we're building one of the most advanced shock programs in short-track racing.
This position is based at our shop in Centerville, TN — about an hour southwest of Nashville. (Our race team operates out of Mooresville, NC, but the shock operation is based in Tennessee.)
We're growing exponentially, and we're hiring a hands-on Shock Technician & Sales person to build shocks and take care of racers. Local candidates and those open to relocating to the Nashville area are both welcome to apply.
This is a build-and-sell role. You'll build and service shocks in the shop, take care of racers on the phone and at the counter, and head to the track when the schedule calls for it.
If you can wrench on a race car, worked in a shop, or grown up around the track, and you're hungry to learn the shock side, let's talk.
This role will:
- Build, revalve, rebuild, and dyno test racing shocks (we'll train you)
- Be the first point of contact for racers — sales, quotes, and orders and provide at-track support at select events
- Help customers pick the right shock, spring, and bump package
- Manage parts and shock inventory
The ideal candidate has:
- A real understanding of racing
- Mechanical aptitude and sharp attention to detail
- Customer-first attitude
- Reliable, self-motivated, mistake-free under deadline
- Willing to work some nights/weekends and travel to events
A plus, but not required: race-shop or team experience, dirt/asphalt late model knowledge, or any experience with shocks, springs, or dynos. We'll teach the rest!
