Experienced Late Model Mechanic
Rackley WAR is seeking an experienced and motivated General Mechanic to support its growing Late Model racing operations.
This role is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and performance of race vehicles in both the shop and at the track. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven racing environment.
Required Skills

Prior experience as a race team mechanic (NASCAR, Late Model, or similar motorsports preferred).

Strong mechanical understanding of racecar systems.

Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during race weeks.

Willingness to travel extensively.

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.

Rackley WAR is a professional, data-driven motorsports team based in Mooresville, NC. The team fields the full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series #26 driven by Dawson Sutton, as well as a part-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series #27 driven by Toni Breidinger.
At the same time, they operate a nationally competitive Asphalt Pro and Super Late Model program competing in more than 60 races annually from Coast to Coast. With drivers like Kevin and Keelan Harvick, Dawson Sutton, William Sawalich, Vito Cancilla, and Rodney Dowless Jr.
Travel Demands:
Travel to race events and/or extended hours will be required at times.
To start, the position will require at least 25 weekends of travel, with an opportunity to expand.
Air travel, hotel accommodations, and per diem are the responsibility of Rackley WAR.
