Race Mechanic

Primal Motorsports is searching for a qualified race mechanic to maintain, repair, and support various Radical race cars and other track-focused vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate service and repair recommendations, with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and performance
• Perform maintenance and repairs efficiently and to a high standard, including mechanical, electrical, and composite bodywork
• Maintain detailed records of all vehicle service and repair history
• Accurately track and log time for all completed work
• Provide professional trackside support across a variety of events, including race weekends, driver schools, corporate events, and track days

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience
• Proven ability to perform the responsibilities listed above
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to meet goals independently
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, powertrain, and drivetrain systems
• Solid understanding of race car systems, including powertrain, drivetrain, suspension, and aerodynamics
• Working knowledge of race car setup and performance optimization
• Must supply own tools and storage (specialty tools provided)
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a professional environment
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed
• Willingness and availability to travel
• Basic computer proficiency
• Prior motorsports experience required
• Demonstrated experience providing trackside support
• Experience with ECU data analysis is a plus
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to the Dawsonville, GA area
