The role of Manager, Competition Operations within NASCAR Event Management is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the execution and preparation of NASCAR race events, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This full-time role commands a dedication to managing multiple critical initiatives concurrently, including the preparation and management of National Series and Touring Series events along with new and future racing venues. The Manager works closely with a variety of stakeholders, including venue personnel, broadcast partners, NASCAR Productions, and timing and scoring teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional event delivery.

This position requires travel to racetracks nationwide to conduct site visits, perform thorough surveys, and oversee necessary improvements to facility preparedness. In addition, the Manager acts as an essential liaison during construction projects at race venues and provides comprehensive operational guidance through detailed handbooks crafted for use by event departments. The role also involves significant responsibilities such as leading race activities for NASCARs development and ARCA touring series, coordinating detailed event schedules, and contributing to NASCAR's National Series rule development, particularly around sporting regulations.

With an approximate travel commitment of 90 percent, this role demands flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position offers a salary range between $68,000 and $72,000, alongside a competitive benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental coverage, and a 401k match, emphasizing NASCARs commitment to employee wellness and satisfaction. • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
• Ten years industry-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in company software and hardware
• Valid driver license
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar
