Delivery Driver

Job Overview:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering products to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner on a daily basis. The Delivery Driver reviews orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. This position works in accordance with policies, procedures, and philosophy of SRI Companies (SRI Performance, Stock Car Steel & Aluminum, SRI Indy)

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Ability to operate manual, 26,000 GVW truck, with a heavy load in a safe manner

· Responsible for pulling customer orders to be delivered

· Load truck for daily delivery per customer orders

· Review all deliveries upon return match deliver log and confirm all orders for the day have been completed

· Upon return, unload delivery truck, placing any returned or non-delivered items back in their respective area

· Responsible for maintaining fuel and other related expense receipts for submittal to the accounting department

· Inspect vehicle for any safety or maintenance issues; ensure any safety or maintenance issues are taken care of prior to leaving for daily deliveries.

· Maintain a clean vehicle, inside and out

· Other duties as assigned

Experience:

· One-year delivery driver

· Knowledge of warehouse operations

· Knowledge of aluminum/steel/automotive industry a plus

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· CDL a plus but not necessary

· Ability to work independently as well as a team member, with minimal day-to-day supervision

· Self-motivated and positive attitude – presents willingness to assist where/when needed

· Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external contacts, to include active listening, developing rapport and resolving conflict

· Attention to detail; profession behavior; excellent communication skills; strong work ethic are necessary to be successful in this position.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications

· Ability to pass a criminal background check and MVR

Physical Abilities:

· Ability to sit, walk, stop, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl within an office and warehouse environment

· Apply physical mobility, including reaching, lifting, holding, pushing, pulling, climbing and arm/leg extension within an office and warehouse environment

· Ability to lift, pull and/or push up to 100 pounds on occasion

· Work around loud noises in a warehouse environment
