Manufacturing Additive Technician (part time)
Hendrick Motorsports , a leader in the auto racing industry, is currently seeking a part time, Additive Technician for our Racing Engine department.
Job Summary : Provide support for additive manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Operate additive manufacturing machinery to print parts using the Build station software for SLA and Command Center for FDM.
- Post process parts to deliver quality finished goods.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies as well as the accounting of material used, machine time, and cleaning time.
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment and environment through regular cleaning.

Education/Experience :
- Associates degree or related experience preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in traditional manufacturing, preferred.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints and have independent problem-solving skills and the discipline to follow-up and follow-through until problems are resolved.
Computer Skills : Knowledgeable in the following software programs:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft D365
- Adobe Acrobat
- 3D Systems Lightyear
- 3D Systems Build station
- Stratasys Insight
- Stratasys Command Center.
Physical Demands:
- Requires vision (near, distance, peripheral, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – eye protection, hearing protection, protective chemical resistant sleeves and apron, protective gloves, etc.
- Requires constant manually manipulating, reaching outward, lifting/carrying 10 pounds or less, and pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds.
- Occasionally requires sitting, reaching above shoulder, squatting or kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.
Environment Demands:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
- Work does involve continuous exposure to hazardous unpleasant elements, such as dust, fumes, chemicals, and poignant odors.
