Job Title – Vehicle Assembly Mechanic

Welcome, NC, USA Full Time

Position Summary:

The Vehicle Assembly Mechanic works as part of a small team responsible for assembling and manufacturing mechanical components and systems used in vehicles within RCR’s product line. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the assembly process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble vehicles and mechanical components using a variety of tools while following required specifications and procedures.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and assembly plans.
  • Build, repair, and replace major vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, and related assemblies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, applying creative and practical problem-solving beyond standard procedures when necessary.
  • Plan and organize work efficiently to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and properly care for shop equipment and tools to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and assist with different tasks as needed throughout the workday.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong initiative with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Proven experience in assembly, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting of vehicle components and vehicle sub-systems.
  • Proficiency with mechanical hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices: follow written instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Basic familiarity with computer systems and vehicle-related electronics.
  • Ability to supply a standard set of personal general mechanics tools upon starting employment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
