Hospitality Hauler Driver

Position Summary

The Hospitality Truck Driver at LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transport of hospitality trailers and critical assets to and from race markets as part of the team’s high-touch guest experience program.

This role also participates in onsite setup and tear‑down of production elements in coordination with the hospitality team and support staff. The Hospitality Hauler Driver is also part of the event support staff providing top-notch service to VIP guests, ensuring a seamless, first‑class experience.

This role works under the direction of the Hospitality Transportation Lead and serves as both a daily support and operational backup—capable of stepping in to lead logistics if needed or covering simultaneous travel assignments across a multi-trailer hospitality footprint.

The ideal candidate has excellent driving skills, valid CDL license, a strong safety mindset, and the physical ability to assist with demanding production work. This person is the first to arrive and last to leave, playing a key role in how LEGACY MOTOR CLUB shows up to partners, fans, and guests at track.

Key Responsibilities

Long-Haul Transport & Logistics

  • Safely haul hospitality trailers and/or tow vehicles based on the event calendar and designated assignments.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety regulations and report maintenance needs.
  • Communicate ETAs and road updates to the Transportation Lead and Hospitality Manager.
  • Remain calm and solution-oriented in the event of mechanical or roadside issues

Event Setup and Tear Down & Trailer Organization

  • Assist with the packing, loading, and unloading of trailers with a focus on weight distribution, accessibility, and asset protection.
  • Participate in the staging and placing of event equipment.
  • Help implement the packing system defined by the Transportation Lead and Hospitality Manager.
  • Secure all equipment to prevent damage during transport.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, security, and navigability of the trailer throughout the event weekend.

Equipment & Asset Maintenance and Movement

  • Assist with the unloading, placement, and reloading of large-scale hospitality infrastructure—tents, flooring, signage, LED walls, refrigeration, etc.
  • Support the setup and teardown of exterior activations or catering elements as needed.
  • Help track damaged, missing, or maintenance-needing items.

Event Support & Operational Backup

  • Greet and escort guests with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in fast‑paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional service.
  • Be available for errands, trailer repositioning, restocking, or time-sensitive shifts.
  • When needed, step into the Transportation Lead role in their absence or when simultaneous events require dual driver

Physical Demands Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and cases weighing 50–75 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Walking/Standing: Prolonged walking and standing during load‑ins and load‑outs, often 4–8 hours at a time on concrete floors, ramps, and uneven surfaces.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb truck steps, stairs, and occasionally ladders.
  • Bending/Reaching: Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and maneuvering around tight spaces inside trailers or staging areas.
  • Manual Dexterity: Use of hands to operate tools, secure load straps, handle equipment construction, and operate lifts.
  • Environmental Conditions:
    • Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind).
    • Exposure to loud environments, during the race.
    • Occasional work at night, early morning, or extended shifts during event days.
  • Driving Requirements:
    • Ability to sit and operate a commercial vehicle for long periods (up to 8–10 hours).
    • Maintain alertness and awareness during long-distance and overnight driving.
    • Ability to enter/exit the truck cab repeatedly throughout the day.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
  • Prior experience driving commercial trucks – touring event experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements listed above.
  • Willingness to travel to 13-25 weekends per year, including holidays
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work long/irregular hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in vehicle/trailer cleanliness and organization.
