We are looking for a passi onate and skilled Aerodynamics Engineer to enhance our team. This pivotal role centers on optimizing the aerodynamic performance of our racing vehicles, directly influencing our competitive edge on the track. You will employ state-of-the-art computational tools and experimental methods to design, analyze, and fine-tune vehicle shapes, aimed at achieving peak efficiency, downforce, and stability.
This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in either the Allen Park, MI or the Concord, NC office.
What you'll do...
• Conduct in-depth computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to assess and enhance aerodynamic characteristics of racing vehicles and components.
• Employ Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for the creation and modification of aerodynamic surfaces and components.
• Plan, execute, and interpret data from wind tunnel testing of scale models and full-scale vehicles, validating designs and collecting performance insights.
• Innovate aerodynamic solutions that boost vehicle speed, handling, and stability.
• Work collaboratively with design, vehicle dynamics, and other engineering teams to weave aerodynamic considerations throughout the vehicle development process.
• Analyze complex aerodynamic data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Investigate and implement cutting-edge methodologies and technologies in aerodynamics to enhance development workflows and vehicle performance.
• Ensure aerodynamic developments adhere to all relevant motorsports regulations and technical specifications.
You'll have...
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software and analysis techniques.

• Experience with CAD software for design and modeling.
• Hands-on experience in wind tunnel testing, including planning, execution, and data analysis.

This position falls within salary grades SG5-8.
