Job Summary: Paint and Body Technician
Responsibilities:
- Paint race car chassis, parts, and equipment.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using industry-standard techniques.
- Assess surfaces for imperfections and damage, sand and fill surfaces as required.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with Nascar rules, and JGR quality standards.
- Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- 1+ years’ experience as a Paint Technician in an automotive setting.
- Proficiency in the use of painting tools, including spray guns, sanders, and mixing equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive painting and bodywork materials, and application processes.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team.
- Technical training in automotive painting or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in NASCAR or other professional racing series is a significant advantage.
