Job Overview
USAIR Motorsports Raceway in Shawano, WI is searching for an Operations Manager to join our team. This position will become active for the start of the 2026 season. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for growing, planning, organizing and executing various type events on both race days and non-race days. This position will contribute to the planning, preparation, and execution of all activities at USAIR. In addition to race day responsibilities, Operations Manager will work various motorsports events including but not limited to: special training, corporate retreats, private events, etc.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
● Act as USAIR’s primary representative
● Oversee and facilitate USAIR events, and the day-to-day operations of the property
● Promote and ensure prompt, courteous, professional and responsive customer service
● Work with ownership and clients to understand event needs (sales, marketing, community relations, ticketing, etc.) and facility policies
● Develop safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and insurance standards. Promote and ensure compliance of the same by staff, clients and visitors.
● Recruit, hire, train, manage and assist a seasonal staff of 1-3 employees for day-to-day building & grounds operations and improvements, and equipment maintenance, including event set-up/tear-down, as well as special staffing as needed for individual events..
● Establish and maintain positive relationships with owners, employees, clients, and vendors.
● Coordinate event vendors, including food, beverage and merchandise sales.
● Develop and follow pricing standards to ensure profitable outcomes, as well as cost efficiencies in operations, purchasing and expenses.
● Identify and explore potential new revenue sources and grow/expand into profitable markets.
● Discover effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customers and grow positive revenue streams..
● Compile timely, accurate and complete clerical, administrative and financial reports
● Responsible for opening and securing track gates, buildings, etc.
● Perform medium physical work - walking and lifting up to 40lbs can be expected
● Respond to any incidents that may occur on the property or track
● Ensure on-site event holders and vendors have the appropriate license and insurance
● Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in field of Management or Marketing
● Must demonstrate prior experience in dealing with high level clients
● People oriented, able to multitask, be organized, motivated and detail focused
● Prior interaction and experience with the public and working knowledge of the racing industry preferred
● Experience with office software, specifically Word and Excel

WORKING CONDITIONS
This work is performed at a 1.1 mile racetrack located near Shawano, WI. Events often take place outside of traditional business hours, are seasonal - typically between April 15 and October 31, on weekends and holidays. Areas of the facility will be noisy, are typically outdoors and subject to changing weather conditions. The ability to move swiftly throughout the facility and stand for long periods of time is necessary.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
