As a Trackside Service Specialist, you will be working with the Mickey Thompson operations and be part of a dynamic team supporting logistics, inventory, and sales operations at Motorsports National Series events. Reporting to the Manager of Race Event Operations and collaborating with the Trackside Sales Manager, you’ll manage tire inventory, distribution, technical support, and customer transactions. This role requires strong customer service skills and professionalism, representing Mickey Thompson in high-visibility environments while engaging with customers, the public, team members, and distributors.
This job will be located at the Mickey Thompson headquarters in Stow, Ohio.
What you'll do
Conduct logistics, inventory management, service, and sales transactions for Motorsports National Series events.
Verify and track inventory throughout each event, ensuring accurate documentation and distribution of all tire deliveries.
Execute all sales transactions accurately, including invoicing and processing payments (credit cards, checks, and cash).
Establish and maintain proficiency in all required systems and company policies.
Serve as the customer-facing representative for Motorsports race teams during all at-track transactions.
Perform tire distribution, inventory control, and sales transactions, along with technical services such as mounting and balancing.
Collaborate with the on-site Goodyear distributor to ensure accuracy and quality of all mounting and balancing operations.
Provide technical expertise to consumers regarding proper tire applications and usage.
Travel extensively; typically, 4–7-day trips over weekends, 20–25 weekends per year.
Drive service units and/or support vehicles to events and set up displays for a professional, branded appearance.
Perform routine maintenance on service units and related equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Proficient computer skills.
High School Diploma / GED with 4 or more years racing industry experience.
1 or more years of experience in a customer-facing role.
Technical skills relating to the mounting and balancing of race tires.
Extensive travel required: 4–7-day trips extending over weekends, 20-25 weekends per year.
Capable of representing company with racing customers, public, and race tire distributors.

Previous experience in inventory management.
