NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Set Up Plate Technician
Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Setup Plate Technician to join our NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series program. This position plays a vital role in chassis setup, data management, and collaboration with race engineers and crew members to ensure optimal on-track performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform chassis setup using a Romer Arm
• Record and maintain setup data in Race Studio
• Coordinate with Crew Chief, Car Chief, and Engineers on setup schedules and procedures
• Collaborate with the Shop Manager and other support departments
• Assist in teardown, car prep, and assembly as required
• Execute all duties in accordance with company policies and Crew Chief direction
Qualifications:
• Team oriented with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
• Minimum 5 years of racing mechanic experience, including setup work
• Experience with Romer Arm and/or chassis setup required
• Hawkeye experience preferred
• Proficient with basic computer systems (Excel, OneNote, Slack)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
