Car Chief – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Car Chief to support our O’Reilly Auto Parts Series program. This position plays a critical role in vehicle preparation, setup, and maintaining the highest standards of performance and reliability both on and off track.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between the Crew Chief, Team Members, Pit Crew, and Hauler Drivers
• Oversee vehicle preparation and setup
• Collaborate with the Shop Manager and support departments to achieve team goals
• Interface with NASCAR Officials during pre- and post-race technical inspections
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• High mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability
• Proficient with basic computer systems and setup tools
• Minimum 5 years of racing mechanic experience, including setup work
• Hawkeye experience preferred; fabrication experience a plus
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
