THE SHORT & SWEET JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Role as social media manager, meaning that every piece of content captured by the social media team runs through you. It’s your responsibility to determine what content to post, when to post, that the content is approved by the organization, and how that content puts our sponsors/drivers/organization in the best light possible. Basically, you are the quarterback of all our great content.

• JGR posts A LOT of content, every day, across various platforms. Demands are high, but so is the fun that our team has together.

• While not necessary for this position, we do give major attention to anyone who is already a creator. Someone who runs their own social accounts as a business (i.e. influencer) or as a business for someone else (influencer/celebrity/athlete/business).

• Show your work…meaning preference will be given to applicants who share their portfolio with us. We don’t care if it’s a website, your personal socials, or via some other avenue. We just want to see what you can do!

• Day-to-day responsibilities include: ideating with team, scheduling posts, writing captions, working with various groups within the organization to gather content ideas, capture content on iPhone, handle light video editing, and work with the Director of Social/Digital Media on sponsor-focused social programs.

• Travel amount is negotiable. We think that travel is necessary to accurately tell stories and build relationships; however, the season is 38 weekends long. Being at the track is important, but there’s also so much happening at the office.

• You MUST be a team player. The social team functions as a creative group, where helping each other and communication are pillars of our success.

At Joe Gibbs Racing, you’ll be part of a team that values teamwork, precision, and passion for performance. We offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Health insurance and retirement plans
  • Opportunities for career growth and development
  • A dynamic, high-energy environment at the forefront of motorsports technology
