RFK is seeking a skilled Road Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the quality preparation, maintenance, and repair of the race cars by using various mechanical tools and techniques both in-shop and at-track.

Essential Job Functions and responsibilities:

  • Assemble, inspect, and maintain race cars in accordance with team standards and NASCAR regulations.
  • Assist with NASCAR inspection process.
  • Perform setup changes and component adjustments as directed by Car Chief.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly during practice sessions, qualifying, and races.
  • Perform behind the wall duties assigned in support of competitive pit stops.
  • Travel with the team to all race events and tests as required.
  • Uphold safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in the garage, hauler, and pit areas.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferably supplemented with technical training
  • 3+ years of experience as a race team mechanic
  • Must be able to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Able to communicate successfully at many levels within the organization.
  • Self-motivated with a high initiative, inner drive and attention to detail that is adept at working both independently and as part of a team
  • Accountability for assigned responsibilities and actions.
  • Work must be performed at a high level of accuracy.
  • Critical thinking and reasoning skills to solve a problem.
