Software Engineer

Objective of this position is to develop specialized data-centric apps in a smaller, dynamic team. Your expertise will have a direct and visible impact on race wins in the Nascar series. We are constantly updating our methods to be more data driven and your contribution will accelerate the pace of that process.

DUTIES, EXPECTATIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and support unique data analysis and visualization tools
• Participate in Design and PR reviews to ensure high quality app functionality
• Apply software design principles to create modularized, reusable, maintainable code
• Working with all aspects of the team, actively support future car development.
• Other duties as assigned to meet the ever-changing landscape of professional sports
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines, and multi-task.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer/Data Science.
• Experience with
  • Python development (Dash & Streamlit or similar a plus)
  • SQL query & execution in data visualization apps
  • Agile Development process
  • Data Science background a plus
  • Git & Azure Devops/Github CI/CD
  • Cloud Platform experience (Azure, AWS, or similar) a plus
  • Scientific/Automotive background a plus
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in pressure situations and maintain a customer-service mindset.
• Experience in NASCAR industry, professional sports or high-level college athletics is a plus
