Objective for this position is to work within a smaller, dynamic team building a clean sheet data platform to enable team members to accelerate their use of data in ways and at scales that were not previously possible. You will define the future of data driven decision making and see tangible results of your work every week.
DUTIES, EXPECTATIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate requirements into normalized schema fed by efficient Spark ETL pipelines
- Participate in an Agile process to deliver incremental improvement
- Verify data integrity and pipeline functionality
- Create consistent and high quality datasets from siloed sources
- Cross reference data from different domains
- Ability to support other general software activities within the engineering department.
- Help define ingestion methodology from specialized data sources
- Participate in Design & PR reviews to ensure high quality data is generated efficiently
- Working with all aspects of the team, actively support future car development.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the ever-changing landscape of professional sports
- Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer/Data Science.
- 2+ yrs Data & AI platform experience
- Databricks/Azure certifications, a plus
- Schema design & normalization for relating previously separate datasets with an eye towards AI enablement
- Declarative ETL Pipeline design and implementation (SQL & PySpark)
- CI/CD for Databricks or similar (Databricks Asset Bundles, IAC)Cloud Platform experience (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Git & Azure Devops/Github project tracking
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to remain calm in pressure situations and maintain a customer-service mindset.
- Experience in NASCAR industry, professional sports or high-level college athletics is a plus.
