Mechanical Engineering Intern
Hendrick Motorsports is growing its presence in the defense industry with a focus on advanced ground vehicle development. We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Design Intern (PartTime) to join our team and work on impactful, hands-on projects that strengthen national security.
What You’ll Do:
- Support design and testing of automotive structures and components.
- Develop CAD models, drawings, and design documentation.
- Assist with shop activities, prototype builds, and PLM data entry.
- Help investigate system issues and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers to evaluate designs for performance, cost, and feasibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current full-time student pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Sophomore or junior standing preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Available to work 15+ hours per week during the semester.
- Strong interest in automotive systems and hands-on engineering.
