RFK is seeking a QC Technician/Analyst who would be responsible for ensuring products meet required standards.

Essential Job Functions and responsibilities:

  • Undertake visual inspections of finished products using given specifications be it CAD drawings or 1:1 templates.
  • Ensure that safety standards and cleanliness of QC Department is maintained.
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting drawings or other forms of documented information to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of inbound materials or components, in-process sub-assemblies, in-process components, finished assemblies and finished components.
  • Participate in internal assessments and audits where necessary.
  • Interpret testing and inspection results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
  • Responsible for identifying and troubleshooting equipment problems.
  • Calibrate, validate, or maintain equipment used for testing and inspection of parts and components. Equipment being utilized includes portable CMM, stationary CMM, laser scanners, laser etcher, hardness tester, hand tools and gauges.
  • Conduct assessment on new technology and methods to make recommendations regarding their usage.
  • Write or document testing protocols, and trend analyses in technical reports.
  • Report or conduct investigation on questionable test results.
  • Responsible for calibrating, validating, or maintaining laboratory equipment and devices before usage.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors.
  • Adding new parts as well as updating parts to our database with pertinent documentation/reports.

Qualifications:

  • 3 + years as a QC Technician or equivalent and preferably racing experience.
  • Basic computer skills. Prefer experience utilizing measurement related software.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferably supplemented with technical training
  • To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with various inspection techniques and be able to act as an auditor for all of our internal systems identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  • Experience with CAD drawings.
  • Must be able to organize, manage and prioritize multiple task and deadlines.
  • Able to communicate successfully at many levels within the organization.
  • Self-motivated with a high initiative, inner drive and attention to detail that is adept at working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Accountability for assigned responsibilities and actions.
  • Work must be performed at a high level of accuracy.
  • Critical thinking and reasoning skills to solve a problem.
