Social Media Manager

RTA Media / Racing America is actively seeking a creative and passionate Digital & Social Media Manager and content creator to generate brand awareness, build brand affinity, and fuel fan engagement.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing digital strategies, messaging and social media content planning and execution through a wide variety of platforms; using strong interpersonal skills to support collaboration and content development across teams; and reviewing key performance metrics to inform creation of effective and engaging content.

The Digital and Social Media Manager will report to theHead of Content and collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams to create content, determine which platform is best suited to each message and maintain brand consistency across platforms to achieve objectives for awareness, engagement, and revenue.

This unique role to help build the digital profile and presence for a major league property and establish the core identity of a major league brand from the earliest stages is a once-in-a-lifetime and career-defining opportunity. The position is based in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create measurable social programs that are on brand and strategy
  • Manage assigned social projects and strategies
  • Maintain media relationships where necessary
  • Participate in monthly meetings with key stakeholders
  • KPI tracking & Campaign monitoring including Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Reporting with actionable recommendations
  • Provide analysis and develop testing plans with recommendations
  • Develop unique and insightful content to include with holistic campaigns
  • Participate in needed client briefing sessions
  • Leverage 1st and 3rd party data to build advanced audience targeting and segmentation
  • Proofread all communications, decks & reports to ensure information accuracy
  • Utilize social tools to identify opportunity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in Social Media Marketing
  • Be passionately in tune with the latest social media developments, online behaviors, and trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and current social media outlets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, networking, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Urgency and strong attention to detail, specifically with regards to written communications

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Racing Industry
  • Experience working with paid social ad-buying platforms and CRM data platforms
  • Experience with web-based research tools, methodologies, and digital analytics
