Compensation: $36 to $44 Hourly

Directly responsible for designing, building, modifying and testing of wiring harnesses and equipment installed on race cars along with the support equipment and quality control of products produced.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install wiring harnesses and equipment on race cars.
- Assist with install and maintenance of all wiring and electrical components, Including but not limited to wiring harnesses, fans, batteries, dashes, ECU’s, etc.
- Assists with tracking usage and servicing of these electrical and electronic components
- Installs sensors, looms and data systems on race cars
- Reporting and documenting processes and outcomes of testing and inspection procedures.
- Identifying, tagging, and notifying appropriate parties when parts or components are non-conforming.
- Maintains appropriate stock level of harnesses, sensors, looms and their components.
- Identifies quality problems and recommends solutions, when appropriate.
- Ensures quality product is completed accurately and delivered timely in accordance with production schedule, adapts to deadlines effectively.
- Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments on issues discovered.
- Maintain Inventory of wiring materials and connectors.
- Be proactive to improve processes, and systems; to keep up with industry trends
- Maintain legality according to rulebook updates, including changes and compliancy.
- Maintain record of new parts and updates. Including new parts and serial numbers for tracking purposes.
- Capable of creating wiring diagrams and maintaining inventory of parts included.
- Safely operating machinery according to recommended safety specifications, including use of all protective equipment necessary (protective eyewear, gloves, mask, earplugs, etc.) while identifying any safety hazards and reporting all risks immediately to a supervisor.
- Provide assistance to other team members on other duties as appropriate.
- Other duties & special projects will be added as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of work-related wiring skills, preferably in the racing industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent and basic reading and advanced mathematics skills necessary.
- Manual experience using all equipment necessary to perform job responsibilities: calipers, measuring devices, etc.
- Manual dexterity and good eyesight required to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to concentrate on detailed work for long periods of time and perform moderate to heavy lifting.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and use safety equipment correctly.
- Must maintain a high level of quality and ability to conform to the wants/needs of the race team target settings
- Basic Computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
