Wasserman Live is currently seeking a creative, organized, and experienced Event Manager to join their team of event professionals. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about event production with deep expertise in managing large-scale live events, primarily within the motorsports industry. The Event Manager will play a crucial role by planning, managing, and executing significant live events for both new and existing clients, ensuring seamless coordination and top-notch delivery. As the lead contact for large events at Wasserman Live, the Event Manager takes responsibility for delegating roles and responsibilities to event staff, ensuring every aspect of the event runs smoothly.

The position demands the ability to create detailed run-of-show schedules, manage and control event budgets, and direct live events effectively. This professional will also assist other project managers and support their roles when required, making the role versatile yet central to the success of the department’s operations. The Event Manager must be capable of leading a team in fast-paced, high-pressure situations and have the willingness and availability to travel between 40% to 60% of the time for event execution. The role favors strong organizational skills, excellent communication capabilities, leadership experience, and an adaptive mindset to thrive in a demanding live event production environment. • 5 years in event production or event management
• ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others (clients, vendors, project managers, and internal employees)
• strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Workday
• experience using ShoFlo preferred
• effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to relay basic technical production needs with clients and internal technical team (operations, logistics, technical production)
• experience supervising a production crew of 3-50 people consisting of internal team members, vendors, and contractors
• experience negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and artists
• ability to work on multiple events at one time and handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a positive attitude
• ability to adapt to new people, demands, environments, and computer software
