Systems Engineer - Hydraulics Control

Overview:

This role focuses on the design, modeling, and analysis of hydraulic control systems used in high-performance applications

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional coding skills and a deep understanding of control systems, with the ability to develop complex models and generate Bode plots intuitively. A background in advanced research—such as hydraulic control systems in aerospace applications, or road vehicle ride & stability analysis—is highly desirable, though not required.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and analyze hydraulic control systems using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydraulic systems into broader mechanical and electronic architectures.
  • Utilize tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python for system modeling, data analysis, and control algorithm development.
  • Support testing and validation of hydraulic systems, including data acquisition and performance tuning.
  • Document system designs, analysis results, and testing procedures in a clear and organized manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of control systems theory and application.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar modeling and analysis tools.
  • Experience with Modelica, Simcenter, Hysan, or SimX
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant advanced agree (MS or PhD)
  • Experience in high-performance or competitive racing engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling and machine design principles.
  • Prior exposure to hydraulic systems in dynamic applications.

Education and Experience (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of control systems theory and application.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar modeling and analysis tools.
  • Experience with Modelica, Simcenter, Hysan, or SimX
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Relevant advanced agree (MS or PhD)
  • Experience in high-performance or competitive racing engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling and machine design principles.
  • Prior exposure to hydraulic systems in dynamic applications.
