NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Track Communications, based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office. The Coordinator, Track Communications provides communications services in support of initiatives for multiple departments and/or business units, including: Track Communications, Commercial Communications, Industry Communications and Racing Communications. The Coordinator leads initiatives as assigned within the Track Communications group. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide communications services as part of the Track Communications team, including writing press releases, communications plans, management of event credentials, working with media and supporting race events, plus other duties as assigned Manage the track communications aspect of Communications’ media monitoring, analysis and news distribution tool Support select at-track initiatives throughout race weekends at NASCAR owned facilities, including moderating press conferences, staffing interviews with NASCAR and track executives, and managing post-race procedures Manage strategic media outreach initiatives as assigned, including pitching and placing earned media stories with local, regional and national media outlets Work closely with department leadership on communications strategy, procedure, and execution Serve as an onsite contact for media and other stakeholders during race event weekends Develop messaging and planning around key announcements Manage ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed Other communications duties as assigned Travel: Up to 30%, including weekends Required skills / experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university A minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in sports preferred but not required. Proficient on company provided hardware and software. Demonstrate strong management and interpersonal skills Strong writing skills Effective communication to all levels of management Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic Results oriented Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently but also be a strong team player Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Excellent communication, presentation, and time management and attention to detail Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required Ability to demonstrate persistence and professionalism Apply Now!
