RFK is seeking a Rulebook Compliance Auditor who will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of RFK's cars, equipment, and procedures adhere strictly to NASCAR’s technical and procedural regulations. Working closely with engineering, fabrication, and race operations staff, this role proactively identifies potential rule violations and implements corrective actions to ensure full compliance and avoid penalties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed audits and inspections of cars, parts, and equipment to ensure compliance with NASCAR’s rulebook.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure components meet all specifications (dimensions, materials, weight, etc.).
- Assist in preparing technical documentation and compliance reports for race weekends.
- Review post-race feedback and inspection results to improve future compliance.
- Track updates to NASCAR rules and bulletins; communicate changes to all relevant team departments.
- Interpret complex rule changes and advise team leadership on their impact.
- Train staff on regulatory changes to prevent inadvertent violations.
- Identify potential areas of risk for non-compliance and recommend modifications or procedural changes.
- Maintain detailed records of all internal audits, findings, and corrective actions.
- Serve as the point of contact for compliance-related questions within the organization.
- Coordinate with crew chiefs, managers, and race engineers to build compliance into the car development process.
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of the NASCAR rulebook and inspection processes.
- Technical expertise in race car construction, aerodynamics, chassis setup, and powertrain systems.
- 3–5 years of experience in a NASCAR team environment, preferably in engineering, inspection, or race operations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
