Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with Okuma controls, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to high standards in a quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain part accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area according to 5S and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Follow AS9100 quality system processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical school or machining certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a prototype environment.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming; Okuma OSP control experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, precision parts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Okuma CNC machines and controls.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems and aerospace/defense manufacturing.
  • Experience with multi-axis or live-tooling machines.
  • Working knowledge using inspection documentation such as first article reports or process travelers.
  • Experience programming CNC machines
